Security Officers –Part Time

About the role

The position is primarily responsible for providing a manned security overlay as part of an asset protection team and dealing with members of the public. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will also build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Asset protection and maintaining a safe environment for customers, visitors and staff.

• Observing and reporting all activities associated with asset protection and site safety.

• Enforcing rules and policies including moving people on where necessary.

• Maintaining logs and records of occurrences, completing necessary paperwork, and using electronic equipment to input and retrieve data.

• Providing information, directions, explaining policies to customers, contractors etc.

• Sound knowledge of the asset including associated buildings, access routes and access permit requirements for contractors etc.

About you

• Hold a current QLD Security License—must provide evidence.

• Be able to walk and stand for long periods.

• Current Senior First Aid certificate—must provide evidence.

• Exceptional communication, both verbal and written.

• Prior Retail environment Security roles.

• Ability to complete precise reports and communicate efficiently.

• Excellent Computer skills using Microsoft Office products.

• Appropriate corporate presentation.

• Work as part of a team.
