Working predominantly within the retail and construction industries, we deliver high-quality signage solutions for a diverse range of clients. We are seeking an experienced Welder (First Class) to join our team based in Epping.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team working on a diverse range of fabrication and manufacturing projects.
About the Role
As a Welder (First Class), you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and fabricated assemblies while ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications.
Measure, mark out, cut and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
Perform MIG, TIG and arc welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components as required.
Fabricate, assemble and repair metal structures and products.
Align and secure components using appropriate tools and measuring equipment prior to welding.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Grind, clean and finish welded components.
Operate fabrication equipment, hand tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and maintain a clean work area.
Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
About You
To be considered for this role you will have:
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welding) or equivalent trade qualification.
Relevant post-qualification welding experience.
Demonstrated experience with MIG and TIG welding (arc welding experience advantageous).
Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
A strong commitment to workplace safety.
