Working predominantly within the retail and construction industries, we deliver high-quality signage solutions for a diverse range of clients. We are seeking an experienced Welder (First Class) to join our team based in Epping.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team working on a diverse range of fabrication and manufacturing projects.

About the Role

As a Welder (First Class), you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and fabricated assemblies while ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications.

• Measure, mark out, cut and prepare metal materials for fabrication.

• Perform MIG, TIG and arc welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components as required.

• Fabricate, assemble and repair metal structures and products.

• Align and secure components using appropriate tools and measuring equipment prior to welding.

• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with specifications.

• Grind, clean and finish welded components.

• Operate fabrication equipment, hand tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.

• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and maintain a clean work area.

• Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

About You

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welding) or equivalent trade qualification.

• Relevant post-qualification welding experience.

• Demonstrated experience with MIG and TIG welding (arc welding experience advantageous).

• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

• A strong commitment to workplace safety.
