Fibreglass Technician

Location: Forrestfield

Salary: $35 – $40 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week + regular overtime

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am start

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, hardworking, and reliable Fibreglass Repair Technician to join our experienced and supportive team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and upgrading fibreglass components on semi-trailers and rigid truck bodies, contributing to the maintenance and quality of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Removing damaged components and preparing surfaces for repair
• Grinding, sanding, trimming, and cleaning surfaces to a high standard
• Fitting and installing new parts and equipment
• Working with fibreglass materials during repair and maintenance processes
• Maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and quality workmanship
• Keeping the work area safe, clean, and organised

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (highly regarded)
• Strong experience working with fibreglass materials
• Experience with gel coat, resins, and power tools
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience in refrigerated semi-trailer manufacturing or repair
• 2-pack painting experience
