Position Details

We are now looking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused General Manager to lead our Hemmant and Cannon Hill facilities in Queensland.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a proven operations practitioner who thrives in complex environments, inspires people to achieve their best and can balance strategic leadership with operational excellence.

Reporting to the Regional Director Operations, North, you will be accountable for the overall performance of both sites, leading safety, customer service, financial outcomes, people development, continuous improvement and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

Engaging and inspiring a large operational workforce across two key Queensland sitesSupporting a culture where safety is the number one priorityDelivering exceptional customer outcomes while strengthening strategic customer partnershipsTaking full accountability for site P&L performance, budgeting and financial resultsIdentifying and implementing productivity, efficiency and cost optimisation initiativesDeveloping and delivering operational strategies aligned with national objectivesChampioning workforce planning, succession planning and talent development initiativesAdvocating continuous improvement across warehousing, inventory, transport and customer service functionsEnsuring compliance with food safety, quality, Chain of Responsibility and regulatory requirementsPartnering with key stakeholders across Operations, Safety, HR, Engineering, Finance and Commercial teamsAdvancing innovation and operational excellence across the business

About You

You are an experienced operational leader with an impressive track record of supporting large-scale logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or distribution operations.

You'll Bring

Extensive senior leadership experience within logistics, warehousing, supply chain, cold storage, manufacturing or related industriesIn-depth commercial acumen with proven P&L accountabilityDemonstrated success leading large, diverse and multi-layered teamsExperience managing customer relationships in a service-driven environmentA proven ability to improve productivity, service and operational performanceExceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilitiesCredentials in budgeting, financial reporting and cost controlA passion for safety leadership and building high-performance culturesQualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management or a related discipline
