Boilermaker Welder

Pacific Welding is currently seeking experienced personnel for upcoming FIFO work at Olympic Dam on a 4:1 roster.

We are recruiting for the following positions:

• AS1796 Certificate 10 Welders

• Supervisor

• Boilmaker Welders (2G/3G Plate Experience)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering welding, surfacing, installation, maintenance and shutdown services, including tank construction, repair and maintenance works, at Olympic Dam.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a weld test at our Geebung workshop prior to mobilisation to Olympic Dam.

• Carry out welding, fabrication, surfacing, installation, repair and maintenance activities to a high standard.

• Competent in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)

• Participate in tank construction, fabrication, repair and maintenance works.

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.

• Liaise effectively with supervisors, project teams and clients.

• Provide leadership and coordination of work crews where applicable (Supervisor roles).

• Maintain high standards of quality, productivity and workplace safety.

• Current AS1796 Certificate 10 qualification.

• Demonstrated experience in heavy fabrication and welding projects.

• Previous supervisory experience in a workshop, shutdown or project environment.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate personnel, resources and project requirements effectively.

• Competent in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), TIG

• Ability to successfully complete weld testing.

• Australian trade qualifications.

• White Card.

• Working at Heights.

• Confined Space Entry.

• EWP.

• Current Driver's Licence.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.

• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

• Availability to attend a weld test at our Geebung workshop prior to mobilisation.

• Tank construction, fabrication, repair and maintenance experience.

• Previous Olympic Dam experience.

• FIFO experience.

• Tank fabrication and maintenance experience.

• Trade qualifications relevant to the position.

• FIFO Olympic Dam project work.

• 4:1 roster.
