About the business

Coonawarra Farm Resort is located in East Gippsland, Victoria. Our camp has 330 beds between two resorts nestled amongst native bush and farmland. School camps are what we do, and what we have done for over 30 years. We are a popular choice for students aged 7-18 due to our range of activities. Our main attractions include two 300 metre flying foxes, giant swings, climbing wall, canoeing and many others.

About the role

The successful applicants day to day duties would include safety briefings to schools on arrival, running 90 minute activity sessions for groups of up to 15 children, basic kitchen duties and cleaning. We are looking for a safety conscious, hard working person with a positive attitude, and who is very good with children.

Hours normally fall between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday. You may also be required to work the occasional weekend. You can expect to work between 1 and 5 days per week. Full-time positions can become available at any time and are mostly offered to our casual employees.

Our camp is set on 1000 acres, giving us plenty of opportunities to explore once our workday is done. Being close to national parks, beaches and not all that far from the snow means weekends are never dull.

Skills and experience

We are looking to hire multiple team members as soon as possible. All training will be provided including Bronze Medallion and First Aid Certificates. These certificates are essential for supervising water activities such as canoeing and raft making. To be successful you must be able to swim. 

Must be a fun but responsible person that enjoys interacting with people, experience in cleaning and/or hospitality would be advantageous. Successful applicant must have, or be able to get, Working with Children's Check.
