ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

Diamond Valley Community Support (DVCS) is a volunteer led, community based, registered charity providing a range of services including emergency relief, information and referrals to residents of Banyule, Nillumbik and the surrounding areas.

DVCS operates a drop-in emergency relief service from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday in the Greensborough Plaza.

To help support our services DVCS manages social enterprises including the weekly Kingsbury Drive Community Market along with opportunity shops in Macleod and Diamond Creek.  

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a part-time position (4 days) based at the Greensborough Plaza.

Reporting to the Committee of Management, the position is responsible for managing the operations of the organisation.

This includes 6 part-time staff and more than 100 volunteers and all aspects including financial reporting, contractual obligations, information technology and human resources.

In addition to the social enterprises, funding arrangements are in place with DSS (via CISVic), Banyule CC and Nillumbik SC along with support from many local community groups and organisations.

ABOUT YOU

• It is expected you have demonstrated experience in a corporate and/or community based executive management position.
• The ability to interpret and analyse financial information.
• The ability to manage an organisation with diverse programs and multiple locations
• Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

As a charity, Salary Packaging is available for living expenses and meals & entertainment. Annual leave includes 17.5% loading.
