To support the growth of our hotel and further strengthen our Housekeeping leadership team, we are creating an additional position to work alongside our existing Assistant Manager - Housekeeping. The Role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering the exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards our guests expect from one of Sydney's most iconic luxury hotels.

With two Assistant Managers working alongside an experienced Housekeeping Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to learn, collaborate and develop your leadership capability within one of Australia's leading luxury hotels.

Your Day to Day - Inspire Incredible

As our Assistant Manager - Housekeeping, you will:

• Support the Housekeeping Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the Housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional presentation standards across guest rooms and public areas.

• Work collaboratively with the existing Assistant Manager – Housekeeping to lead, coach and develop Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants and our external housekeeping partner.

• Conduct room inspections and quality audits, providing coaching and feedback to maintain the exceptional standards of the InterContinental brand.

• Assist with workforce planning, rostering, payroll and productivity to achieve operational and commercial objectives.

• Partner closely with Front Office, Engineering and other operational departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development while fostering a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture.

• Manage guest requests and resolve concerns with professionalism, care and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.

• Champion workplace health and safety, ensuring safe work practices and compliance across the department.

• Act as the Housekeeping Manager in their absence, ensuring the department continues to operate efficiently and effectively.

• Previous leadership experience within a luxury or premium hotel housekeeping environment.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience managing rosters, productivity and payroll.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with exceptional attention to detail.

• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.

• Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster.
