About the role
The Town is seeking a full-time, experienced and friendly Senior Environmental Health Officer to join the proactive and passionate team which focuses on delivering sound environmental health outcomes for our community. Key responsibilities of the position include:
Conducting investigations and carrying out routine monitoring including the taking of food and water samples and noise monitoring.
Developing and monitoring educations programmes providing advice on the provisions of the Public Health, Food and Environmental Protection Acts.
Provide sound technical advice on relevant legislation to external and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Opportunity to be involved in special projects such as environmental health planning and liaison with key stakeholders in the Town such as events held at the Showgrounds.
In conjunction with the Manager Environmental Health, develop and implement significant works programs e.g., Waste and Verge Hard-waste and Green-waste collection services.
