Junior Civil Draftsperson

We are seeking a Junior Civil Draftsperson to join our Brisbane team. Reporting to the Civil Lead, this role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career drafting professional looking to build their capability in civil design and drafting within the mining, resources, and heavy industrial sectors. You will work alongside experienced engineers and designers, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the delivery of high-quality civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assist in the preparation and updating of civil drawings, models, and documentation using Civil 3D, 12D, and AutoCAD.
• Support the development of engineering drawings, site layouts, and design documentation under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver drafting work that meets project requirements, standards, and deadlines.
• Learn and apply drafting standards, processes, and quality requirements across a range of civil engineering projects.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to practical engineering solutions as your skills and experience develop.

Skills and Experience:

• Qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related discipline.
• Exposure to Civil 3D, 12D, and/or AutoCAD through study, work experience, internships, or previous employment.
• Strong interest in civil engineering, mining, resources, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Eagerness to learn, develop technical skills, and build a career in engineering design and drafting.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and project stakeholders.
