ILS Technician

We have a current opportunity for an ILS Technician, on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in Osbourne, Adelaide. The contract is for an initial 10 month period, with possible extension options.
Start: circa ASAP DSS Skill Set: Level 2 - Compliance Assurance - Logistics Inventory and Assets
The ILS Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:Assist to identify Alternate Parts and confirm Form-Fit-Function equivalence.Assist MARSPT with Technical Assessment of Alternate Items of Supply.Conduct on-board audit of ship fitted Certified Items and Engineering Register data, and collection of associated OQE. Assess Combat System OQE.Audit Registerable Plant and collect and register associated OQE - requires experience and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and other pressure systems and the associated safety considerations.Assist in the collection of pre-acceptance maintenance triggers and associated OQE for Combat Systems equipment.Audit ILS data against the combat system.Condition Assess removed / return equipment for refurbishment or re-testing required and for remaining life.
