About the Role

Spartan Group is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Boilermaker / Fabricator / Rigger to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in steel fabrication and rigging, ideally within the crane, construction, or heavy equipment industry. You will be involved in preparing, modifying, and assembling components, as well as supporting lifting and rigging operations when required.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication Duties

• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of steel components

• Modify and repair crane and lifting equipment parts

• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans

• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

Rigging Duties

• Assist with rigging and lifting operations on site or in the yard

• Safely sling and move heavy components

• Work closely with crane operators, dogmen, and site teams

General Duties

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Assist with yard operations and equipment preparation

• Follow company procedures and safety requirements at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience in fabrication and/or rigging

• Valid Rigger Ticket (Basic or Intermediate)

• Dogman (DG) ticket preferred

• Welding experience (MIG/Stick preferred)

• Ability to read drawings and work independently

• Strong commitment to safety

• White Card

• Driver’s Licence (essential)
