We are looking for a motivated Senior Product Compliance Engineer to ensure that our products obtain all required regulatory compliance and/or carrier certifications before the release to mass production and for the life of the product in case of any changes to regulatory requirement or target market.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR FOCUS?
· Responsible for leading product compliance activities across multiple product portfolios.
· Define, review and scrutinize requirements for regulatory and carrier certification.
· Research compliance requirements for new markets, technology and/or trade compliance.
· Plan, schedule, negotiate requirements/lead times/costs with external test vendors.
· Prepare documentation required for certification and compliance test labs.
· Conduct hands on hardware and software testing and debug of issues.
· Ensure timely reporting of progress on compliance and certification tasks to Project teams.
· Undertake all compliance activities in the most cost-effective manner possible.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with testing vendors
· Ensure cost competitiveness through multiple vendors.
· Review, verify, document external lab reports to ensure completion of tasks.
· Monitor regulatory and product changes, maintain compliance throughout product lifecycle.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING IN FOR YOU?
· Experience: Electronics products compliance testing.
· Technical Expertise: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Safety, Wireless & Radio Frequency (RF).
· Technical Know-how: Industry standards, regulatory requirements for electronics products.
· Knowledge: Regional Compliance requirements for Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), CE, Global Certification Forum (GCF), Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
· Ownership: Sense of responsibility to deliver and follow through.
· Critical Thinking: Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Teamwork: Ability to thrive in fast-paced cross-functional teams.
