About the role
We're excited to invite 1-2 experienced Senior Medical Receptionists to join us, whether part-time or full-time. We value your expertise and look forward to welcoming you to our team!
The successful applicant(s) will be friendly, positive individuals who enjoy working in a busy surgical specialist environment. They will be responsible for handling front office and medical reception duties to ensure patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from their consultation through to their procedure sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Committed team members who skilfully handle daily medical reception duties.
Collaborate warmly with all members of the medical reception team to smoothly handle administration duties.
Work together with everyone on the medical reception team to smoothly take care of different administrative duties. This involves preparing patient information for surgery, organising theatre lists, scheduling consulting sessions, managing practice appointments, and handling Medicare billing (invoicing and receipting).
Responsible for creating quotes for patient surgical procedures, liaising with hospitals for theatre lists, coordinating consulting sessions, managing practice schedules, and handling Medicare billing invoicing and receipting.
Make sure to book patient appointments smoothly using the practice software, Gentu/Genie, so everything runs efficiently. This helps keep the schedule organised and ensures patients get the care they need right on time.

Required skills/experience:
Demonstrated Medical Receptionist skills within a medical specialist practice environment
Demonstrated use of Genie/Gentu practice management software
A strong understanding of Medicare, health fund billing, and quoting patients for surgical procedures helps ensure smooth and transparent healthcare experiences.
Demonstrates excellent people skills, with a natural talent for connecting easily with patients and healthcare professionals or external health facilities.
