We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Control Systems Commissioning Engineer to join Powertech on an Offshore Project.
Position Overview: Location: Clients Offshore Facility
Duration: 6-12 months
Night shift
Roster: 3 weeks on : 3 week off
Hours: 12 hours per day
Start dates: From Mid September
Great $$$ rates paid
Superannuation paid on ALL worked hours
Scope of Work:
Lead and execute commissioning activities for Process Control Systems and associated automation equipment.
Perform system checks, loop checks, functional testing, cause-and-effect testing, interlock testing, and integrated system testing.
Support commissioning and start-up of DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, ESD, F&G, and related control systems.
Review and verify control system configurations, I/O databases, logic, graphics, alarms, trends, and control narratives.
Troubleshoot control system, instrumentation, communications, and process control issues during commissioning and start-up.
Coordinate with instrumentation and electrical teams to resolve commissioning issues and punch-list items.
Participate in system energisation, functional testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
Ensure commissioning activities are completed in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Identify, document, and close technical and commissioning punch-list items.
Assist with preparation and review of commissioning procedures, test packs, check sheets, and handover documentation.
Work closely with vendors and OEM representatives to resolve technical issues.
Provide technical support to operations during plant start-up and performance testing.
Maintain accurate commissioning records and provide daily progress reporting.
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout all offshore activities.
About You:
Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Control Systems, or a related discipline.
Relevant commissioning experience in offshore oil & gas facilities.
Current offshore certification – MSIC, BOSIET, ESCAPE-CHUTE, CAEBS
Additional control-system vendor certifications will be highly regarded.
