Who We Are
Good Drinks Australia is one of the country's largest independent craft beverage businesses, home to iconic brands like Gage Roads Brew Co and Matso's, as well as Alby. We're also the proud Australian partner for global brands including Coors, Miller, Magners, Rekorderlig Cider and San Miguel. We're passionate about redefining the beer and alcoholic drinks landscape through quality, innovation, and exceptional customer experiences.
Join a workplace where vibrant culture meets iconic brands. Whether you're drawn to brewing, hospitality, or brand strategy, Good Drinks offers a dynamic environment where your potential is nurtured and your passion finds purpose. Be part of a community shaping the future of Australia's craft beverage industry.
About the Role
We're heading into our peak period and expanding our team at our Gage Roads Brewery. Aussie drinkers keep backing Aussie-owned brands, so we're the busiest we've ever been and the demand doesn't seem to slow down. We need more hands on the keg line to get beer into every pub, club and stadium in the country.
This role starts as casual, working full-time hours (40 hours a week), with a genuine pathway to a permanent full-time position for the right person. If you're reliable and ready to put the work in, there's real opportunity here to grow with a brand that's going places.
As a Production Operator, you'll be running the kegging line: filling, sealing, labelling and inspecting kegs to food safety standards. You'll need to be fit enough for kegs up to 60kg, safety conscious, and switched on. In return, you'll be trained across the packaging operation, work alongside a close-knit team, and get a front-row seat as we scale up production to meet demand.
Key Responsibilities
● Operate and monitor the kegging line for efficient filling, sealing, and labelling
● Inspect kegs for cleanliness, integrity, and quality standards
● Clean and maintain equipment to HACCP and food safety standards
● Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate complex problems when needed
● Move and manage kegs safely, assist with inventory
● Follow health and safety protocols, use PPE correctly
● Work with brewing, packaging, and logistics teams for timely order fulfilment
Shift Pattern
This role runs on a 3 week rotating cycle, 40 hours a week (8 hour shifts), then it repeats.
● Week 1: Day shift, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, working Monday to Friday
● Week 2: Afternoon shift, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, working Sunday to Thursday
● Week 3: Night shift, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, working Sunday to Thursday
You'll rotate through all three shift types.
Invest in Your Future With Us
● Earn as you learn: build new skills and your pay grows with them.
● Broad, hands-on training: gain skills across the packaging operation, from filling and labelling to palletising, forklifts, quality and cleaning.
● Clear progression: advance through defined skill levels as you develop.
● Rewarded for versatility and loyalty: cross-skilling, qualifications and service milestones all count.
What You'll Need
● Strong work ethic, reliability, and honesty
● Great teamwork and communication skills
● Safety conscious with fastidious hygiene habits
● Physically fit, able to manoeuvre heavy kegs (up to 60kg)
● Prepared for rotating day/afternoon/night shifts
● Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with noise, heat, and cold
Bonus Points For
● Experience in beverage packaging, brewing, or FMCG manufacturing
● Basic mechanical aptitude
● High-risk forklift licence
● First-aid certificate
The Good Stuff
● Gage Bucks: beer money allocated throughout the year
● Staff discounts on our product range, merch, food and drink at our hospitality venues
● Access to our Employee Assistance Program
● Industry, sporting and entertainment event invites
