Cadet Contracts Administrator

About the role

Join the dynamic team as a Cadet Contracts Administrator. This full-time role is based in Sydney and will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry. As a CA Cadet, you will be an integral part of delivering high-quality construction projects while gaining the skills and knowledge to progress your career in project management. For cadets currently studying construction or project management, we offer one dedicated day off per week to attend your course.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing contract administration, subcontractor and supplier procurement

• Help prepare subcontractor packages, scopes, and contracts

• Work closely with site teams, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project execution

• Support the preparation of estimates and costing of new project opportunities

• Contribute to the preparation of reports, documentation and other project-related materials

• Support procurement by preparing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and tracking quotes and delivery schedules

• Help monitor construction programmes, coordinate with subcontractors and consultants, and assist with compliance documentation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects

• Attend site meetings, assist with logistics and deliveries, and help conduct inspections under supervision

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma qualification in Construction/Project Management (either completed or currently studying preferred 4th year)

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

• The ability to interpret and apply complex contractual terms and conditions

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

• A keen interest in the construction industry

• Permanent Residency or Citizenship in Australia

• 12 months of experience within a commercial construction company as a cadet or work experience (uni placement)

• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn

• Construction White Card

• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
