As a 2IC at our Melton location you will be the part leader, part mentor, part fun maker for a team of legends and create unforgettable Before School and After School programs for primary aged kids.

You will:

• Lead awesome activities like sports, cooking, arts, crafts and bring the fun to life with creativity, exploration, and design of holiday programs
• Spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child
• Create an inclusive environment that supports all children, families, and your team
• Make every child feel safe, seen, supported, and celebrated
• Support the Coordinator and collaborate with your team of legends
• Build strong connections with children, families, and the school community – keeping families in the loop with regular communication
• Attend and contribute to school events, assemblies, and partnership meetings
• Manage health needs, including medicals, health management plans, and behaviour management plans
• Ensure risk management and compliance across the program
• Develop and regularly update the service’s Strategic Inclusion Plan and Quality Improvement Plan 
• Train, mentor, and develop your team –  and bring your ideas to the table, we love fresh thinking!
• Attend fortnightly training sessions and the annual Coordinator Conference
• Support children in their daily routines, including food preparation and cleaning duties
• Manage administration, compliance and staff development
• Report to and be supported by your amazing Area Manager

Permanent Shifts:

Monday to Friday

Before school care: 6:45am to 8:45am

After school care: 2:45pm to 6:00pm

Total: 26 hours and 15 minutes per week

Don’t forget about the split shift allowance and laundry allowance too! 

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a Diploma/Bachelor’s in Education or is working towards it (or ACECQA recognised equivalent) like Youth Work, Community Services or Primary/Secondary Education 
• Holds a Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
• Knows child protecting and safety standards inside out
• Understand the My Time, Our Place framework and National Regulations
• Has OSHC, teaching, camp or coaching experience
