Join Northern Health as an Echocardiologist and play a key role in delivering exceptional cardiac imaging services, advancing clinical excellence, and shaping the future of cardiac imaging services

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Echocardiologist to join Northern Health's Cardiology Unit. In this consultant role, you will provide expert echocardiography and specialist cardiology services across inpatient and outpatient settings, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. You will also contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement and the ongoing development of our expanding cardiac imaging service.

Current opportunities available to work in a casual capacity within the department.

To be successful in this role you will have:

A primary medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent), FRACP in Cardiology (or equivalent), and eligibility for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

Demonstrated expertise in echocardiography, including TO TE, TOE and stress echocardiography.

A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred cardiovascular care.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

A commitment to teaching, clinical governance, quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
