Your Role
Applications are invited for the full-time continuing position of Consultant: Teaching and Learning, commencing January 2027. This role, ideally based in Gladstone or Bundaberg, provides support to Catholic schools across the Southern Region (Gladstone, Biloela, Monto, Tannum Sands and Bundaberg).
The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in advancing excellence in teaching and learning across Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton, with a particular focus on Literacy and evidence-informed curriculum practice. Working in partnership with Principals, Assistant Principals Curriculum and school leadership teams, they will support the implementation of the system's shared vision for teaching and learning, ensuring consistent, high-quality curriculum delivery, assessment practices and data-informed decision-making that contribute to improved student outcomes.
The successful applicant will foster a culture of collaboration, growth and continuous improvement through high-quality coaching, mentoring and professional learning that strengthens the capability of school leaders and educators. Working closely with school leaders, they will build leadership capacity, deepen curriculum expertise and enhance instructional practice across schools. Through targeted professional learning, strategic support and the development of resources that respond to identified needs, they will empower educators to confidently implement system priorities, utilise assessment data effectively and drive sustained school improvement. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced educational leader to influence practice, build professional capability and contribute to improved outcomes for students across the Diocese.
