About the role

Grain Bakery is seeking a Casual Cleaner to join our team in Shenton Park, WA. This is a casual position offering flexibility to suit your schedule. As a Casual Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining our premises to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring our bakery remains a welcoming and sanitary environment for both staff and customers. This role is essential to our operations, as a clean facility is integral to food safety standards and maintaining the professional appearance our customers expect.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and sanitisation of all areas within the bakery, including production areas, customer-facing spaces, and staff facilities

• Maintain food preparation areas to comply with health and safety regulations and food safety standards

• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately and safely

• Clean and maintain equipment, fixtures, and fittings throughout the premises

• Follow all health and safety protocols and company cleaning procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in cleaning, preferably within a food service or commercial environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, or willingness to learn

• Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual cleaning tasks

• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work varied hours

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

• Current working rights in Australia
