City of Sydney Council – Location Town Hall House - Sydney - 100% Working from Office

Start ASAP!!!  12 Months Contract -  4 Positions!!

Part-time up to 25 hours per week - working between 9.30am - 5.30pm

Roster will be provided 1 week in advance

Are you passionate about supporting young people and creating stronger, more connected communities?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and community-minded Youth & Community Worker to join our team and make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

💡 What you will be doing:

• Engage with young people and build positive, trusting relationships

• Develop and deliver innovative youth programs, activities, and events

• Encourage participation, inclusion, and community connection

• Provide support, guidance and referrals to young people when needed

• Work collaboratively with community groups, schools, services, and key stakeholders

• Identify opportunities that promote youth development, wellbeing, and leadership

• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone

🎯 What we are looking for:

• Experience working with young people and/or within community services

• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills

• Ability to engage young people from diverse backgrounds

• Creative, energetic, and proactive approach to program delivery

• Strong teamwork, organisation, and problem-solving skills

• Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work, or a related field are highly regarded

• Current Working with Children Check and other relevant clearances as required
