ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Accounts (P&R) Officer to join our Finance team. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and clients, you will support the business through comprehensive financial administration and accounts management. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, thrives on working in the detail and is looking to enhance and grow their career in an exciting growth phase for the V&W business,

Note: This role is a full-time position, based onsite, 5 days per week, in our Hawthorn East head office. Importantly, please note that AP21 experience is non-negotiable and a core pre-requisite.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include: 

• Accounts Payable:
  Manage all end-to-end AP transactions, including processing supplier invoices, arrange authorisations, and prepare payment runs for outstanding creditors. 
• International Accounts:
  Manage accounts payment for overseas creditors, international accounts, ensuring timely payments and reconciling received stock. 
• Accounts Receivable:
  Manage all AR transactions, including wholesale accounts, and assist the Finance Manager with arranging payment plans and follow up as required. 
• Reconciliations:
  Perform bank transaction reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and manage month-end reconciliation of company credit cards. 
• Data Integrity:
  Guarantee the integrity of the AP system by ensuring all transactions are authorised and correctly allocated to the Chart of Accounts (CoA). 
• Stakeholder Support:
  Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers while effectively addressing account enquiries with accuracy and solutions oriented approach.

YOU WILL BRING:

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar position, ideally within the retail or fashion industry. 
• Strong financial analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. 
• Experience using financial accounting systems; knowledge of AP21 and Xero is essential.
• Ability to work autonomously
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external suppliers or customers. 
• Strong attention to detail, initiative for process improvement, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
