Estimator / Scheduler - Mining & Remote Construction

TREKKA is a growing construction company delivering remote accommodation, non-process infrastructure, civil works, utilities and maintenance projects to the mining and resources sector.

We are seeking a practical and commercially minded Estimator / Scheduler, for a newly created roll, to prepare accurate estimates, coordinate tenders and develop realistic construction programmes. Working closely with the project team, you will support projects from initial enquiry through to handover.

Project Estimating

• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts to define project scope and resources.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for mining and civil construction projects, including labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor inputs.

Scheduling and Coordination

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate scheduling tools.

• Update project schedules based on site progress and operational changes.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.

Supplier and Subcontractor Engagement

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to confirm pricing and delivery timeframes.

• Assist in procurement and negotiation to achieve competitive pricing and reliable delivery.

Main requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator and/or Scheduler in mining or remote construction.

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies across civil, general building, and electrical scopes.

• Competence in Microsoft Excel and estimating or scheduling software; Buildxact and Microsoft Project experience is advantageous.

• Strong communication, planning, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performance team.

• Familiarity with WA mining regulations and remote logistics.

• Current Australian driver’s license.
