Boilermaker / Fabricator – Trucks & Heavy Equipment

About the role

This is a hands-on workshop role suited to someone who is confident working with heavy vehicles, understands how to make strong, practical repairs and takes pride in the quality of their work.

Key responsibilities

• Fabrication, welding and repairs to trucks and trailers

• Repairs and modifications to truck bodies, trays, guards, brackets and associated components

• Structural fabrication and general workshop welding

• Repair and fabrication work on heavy plant and earthmoving equipment as required

• MIG welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication

• Diagnosing damaged components and working out practical repair solutions

• Measuring, fitting and fabricating components accurately

• Working closely with our workshop and operations teams

• Maintaining a clean and safe workshop

• Taking ownership of the quality of your work

About you

• Has strong welding and fabrication skills

• Has experience working on trucks, trailers or heavy equipment

• Is confident carrying out repairs and modifications

• Can work independently and problem-solve

• Produces strong, practical work suitable for heavy-duty use

• Takes pride in their workmanship

• Is reliable and works well as part of a team

• Has a strong focus on safety

• Experience in civil, earthmoving, quarry, transport or heavy equipment would be highly regarded
