About the Opportunity

You will join the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet, a nationally recognised knowledge exchange organisation within Edith Cowan University, dedicated to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health through evidence-informed practice, policy and research.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of high-quality health resources and publications that are accessed by health professionals, researchers, policymakers and communities across Australia.

As a Senior Research Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting literature reviews and translating research into accessible, evidence-based health information.
• Writing, editing and proofreading publications, web content and funding reports.
• Auditing and maintaining online content to ensure information remains current, accurate and relevant.
• Contributing to digital knowledge exchange activities, including social media and online publications.
• Building and maintaining relationships with researchers, health professionals and key stakeholders.
• Leading smaller research projects and contributing to the continuous improvement of HealthInfoNet products and services

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, training or professional accreditation.
• Experience in a health-related field, preferably Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health or public/population health.
• Well-developed research, literature searching and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise information from a range of sources.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce high-quality publications and online content.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Well-developed computer literacy and online research skills.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
