About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our hospitality operations in the Moreton Bay Region, QLD. This is a full-time position based on-site at our restaurant location. As Restaurant Manager, you will be the driving force behind our establishment's success, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences, managing day-to-day operations, and leading a talented team. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our reputation for excellence whilst driving profitability and customer satisfaction. This is a strategic position that directly impacts the financial performance and brand reputation of our restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including service delivery, food quality, and customer satisfaction

• Lead, recruit, train and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure consistent service excellence

• Manage staff scheduling, rostering and ensure adequate coverage during peak trading periods

• Monitor and control food and beverage costs, manage inventory and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality

• Maintain compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations, and undertake regular audits

• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, ensuring resolution and retention

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and loyalty

• Analyse financial performance, manage budgets and work towards revenue targets

• Foster a positive team culture and support staff development and career progression

• Maintain restaurant facilities, equipment and ambiance to the highest standards

• Handle Social Media Marketing and the Restaurants Booking Platform Marketing

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality management role

• Proven track record of successfully managing a restaurant team and delivering strong financial results

• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and hospitality industry regulations

• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software

• Sound financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and P&L management

• Customer service excellence and ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and professionalism

• Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

• Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willingness to obtain

• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is advantageous
