Flower Child Chatswood is looking for an experienced Front of House Assistant Manager to help lead our service team and support the daily operation of our busy café.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident running shifts, organising a Front of House team and maintaining strong service standards during high-volume periods.

You will work closely with the Front of House Manager and take charge of the floor when required.

You will support the daily Front of House operation and help ensure each shift runs smoothly, efficiently and with genuine hospitality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading busy shifts and organising the Front of House team

• Managing sections, seating flow and communication between departments

• Coaching team members and maintaining service standards

• Handling guest feedback and resolving service issues

• Supporting opening, closing, handovers and daily procedures

• Taking charge of the floor when the Front of House Manager is unavailable

You are an experienced hospitality leader who works well in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment.

You communicate clearly, remain composed under pressure and are comfortable giving direction to the team. You are also ready to develop the broader leadership and operational skills required to progress into a Front of House Manager role.

To be considered, you should have:

• Recent Front of House experience in a busy café, restaurant or table-service venue

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Shift Leader

• Experience leading shifts and directing a Front of House team

• Strong communication, organisation and guest service skills

• A reliable, accountable and team-focused approach

Coffee knowledge, barista experience and familiarity with rostering, labour management or hospitality systems will be highly regarded.

This is a full-time position based at Flower Child Chatswood.

Weekend availability is essential. Shifts are primarily morning and daytime shifts and generally begin from approximately 7:30 am.

Flexible availability across the operating week is required.
