🌱 About the Role

The Village Care and Maintenance Team (VCMT) play a vital role in ensuring our communities remain safe, accessible, and beautifully maintained. This hands‑on position is responsible for the care, presentation, and upkeep of village grounds, gardens, and facilities, contributing directly to the wellbeing and satisfaction of our homeowners. This role plays an important part in creating a welcoming, attractive, and well-maintained community, directly enhancing the wellbeing and satisfaction of homeowners. We are currently recruiting in the High Wycombe area for a VCMT to work between 2 of our WA our communities.

🌱 Key Responsibilities

• Maintain common area gardens and lawns.

• Mowing, edging, whipper snipping, pruning shrubs and hedges, weeding and mulching as needed.

• Assist with general maintenance upkeep of facilities.

• Ensure safety by identifying hazards, follow reporting processes and comply with WHS procedures.

• Operate equipment and tools.

• Interact respectfully with homeowners appropriately.

• Keep basic maintenance records and report incidents or hazards promptly.

• Work collaboratively with the team and independently, attend training, and contribute to problem‑solving.

• Support neighbouring communities when required.

• Attend to any adhoc tasks as directed.

🌱 Essential Requirements

• Grounds and Facilities Maintenance: Previous experience, skills and knowledge in grounds, garden and facilities maintenance

• Effective communication: Friendly, respectful and clear communication with homeowners, team members and managers

• Strong teamwork: Works effectively and collaboratively with other team members and management.

• Reliability and punctuality: Showing up consistently and completing scheduled maintenance.

• Attention to detail: Completes tasks to a high standard, proactively identifies maintenance needs

• Time management: Manages, prioritises and completes tasks effectively and efficiently

• Risk Management: Proactively identifies, manages and reports risks and hazards in the workplace to ensure a safe environment and culture

• A current Driver’s licence is required to perform this role.
