Roo Systems Australia is looking for a motivated Trades Assistant or 3rd- or 4th-year apprentice mechanic to join our friendly, skilled team. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, have strong diagnostic ability and want to develop specialist diesel performance skills, this is an opportunity to grow your career in a supportive workshop.

·         Assist with servicing, diagnostics, repairs and performance upgrades on diesel vehicles.

·         Use your fault-finding skills to identify and help resolve mechanical and electronic issues.

·         Work with experienced technicians and build practical workshop capability.

·         Learn dyno operation and diesel performance tuning.

·         Develop your knowledge of ECU remapping, subject to aptitude and progression.

·         Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop cleanliness.

·         A Trades Assistant with relevant hands-on experience, or a mechanic in the 3rd or 4th year of an apprenticeship.

·         Sound mechanical knowledge and confidence working with diesel engines.

·         Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

·         A genuine interest in diesel performance, dyno tuning and vehicle electronics.

·         A reliable, safety-conscious approach and strong attention to detail.

·         A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.

·         Hands-on training in dyno tuning and the potential to learn ECU remapping.
