Domestic Assistant/Cleaner

We are seeking skilled, compassionate, and reliable Domestic Assistants to provide exceptional in-home care to older people in Thomastown and either one of the following local council areas: Darebin, Whittlesea, Banyule, Merri-bek, Yarra, Nillumbik, Hume. Must be available Monday and/or Friday 8am to 4pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Domestic Assistance Worker, you’ll help clients live independently, and feel respected by assisting with:

• Home Cleaning – Household cleaning and laundry tasks are a core part of the role, helping clients maintain a safe and comfortable living environment
• Meal Preparation – Cooking simple, nutritious meals
• Unescorted Shopping – Assisting with errands or accompanying clients to the shops
• Wellbeing Monitoring – Observing and reporting changes in physical or emotional health

This role involves travelling between clients, so you'll need your own reliable vehicle.

What You’ll Need

• A genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive impact
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Current Victorian Driver’s License and reliable, insured vehicle
• Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
• COVID-19 vaccination evidence (as per public health orders)

Other considerations may be made for applicants who hold a Cert III in Ageing Support, Individual Support, and Disability, or qualifications in Nursing
