About the role
Sea logistics is about more than moving containers, it’s about orchestrating reliability, efficiency, and trust across oceans. As a Sea Logistics Operational Care Team Supervisor, you’ll be the one ensuring that every shipment runs smoothly, every process is sharpened, and every customer feels supported.
This role places you at the centre of operations: guiding your team, optimising workflows, and making sure service levels are not just met but exceeded. You’ll balance cost efficiency with quality, strengthen supplier relationships, and use data to drive smarter decisions.
Responsibilities
Champion operational success: Support the Operational Care team in improving workflows, reducing waste, and driving efficiency.
Guide the team: Facilitate training, skill updates, and performance management to ensure consistent excellence.
Shape the journey: Define and monitor SLAs, validate KPIs, and ensure timely, accurate customer information.
Solve challenges: Manage supplier contracts, resolve disputes with Customs/MPI/MedSafe, and support complex shipments.
Drive improvement: Analyse KPI dashboards, increase automation via eTouch, and ensure billing accuracy with 95% invoice quality.
Deliver results: Confirm expected gross profit within 24 hours, minimise deferrals, and ensure costs are correctly posted in SeaLOG and Acon+.
Requirements
Hard skills: Freight forwarding and supply chain expertise, strong knowledge of KN services and systems, project management experience, and commercial acumen with initial P&L exposure.
Soft skills: Proven leadership of small teams, strong communication, problem‑solving, adaptability, and customer focus.
Personal qualities: Resilience, accountability, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
Other: Fluent in local language with advanced English proficiency; valid Australian driver’s license; available for domestic and international travel.
