Are you an HR professional who loves operational generalist work but brings a strong, hands-on focus to Work Health & Safety (WHS) and injury management?
We are partnering with a well-established Non for Profit organisation to recruit a permanent Human Resources Coordinator to join their team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this broad, dynamic role blends end-to-end HR operations with active leadership across workplace safety, return-to-work planning, and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesWHS & Injury Management: Coordinate workplace incident reporting, investigations, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Manage early intervention strategies, workers' compensation claims, and Return-to-Work (RTW) planning.Compliance & Training: Track and monitor employee licenses, tickets, and mandatory qualifications. Coordinate WHS, First Aid, and safety training across the workforce.HR Operations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee enquiries, assist with end-to-end recruitment, onboard new starters, support performance/probation management, and draft employment documentation.Systems & Reporting: Maintain accurate HRIS, WHS, and compliance records; assist with internal/external audits; and generate reporting for leadership.Culture & Policy: Support employee wellbeing initiatives, contribute to policy reviews, and assist with broader HR and organizational projects.
What We’re Looking For3+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Advisor, or similar broad operational role.Proven WHS & Injury Management experience: Hands-on background with workers' compensation processes, incident investigations, and return-to-work coordination is essential.Compliance Savvy: Solid understanding of WHS legislation, HR administration, modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.Tech & Systems Literate: Prior experience utilizing HRIS, compliance, or incident-management systems.Strong Communicator: Outstanding organization, attention to detail, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the business while handling sensitive information discreetly.
Highly RegardedReturn to Work (RTW) Coordinator certificationWHS Qualifications (Certificate IV or higher)Current First Aid / CPR certifications
