Sales Assistant

About the role

Clark Rubber is seeking outgoing, knowledgeable, reliable and motivated individuals to join the team as a retail sales assistant at the Gilles Plains store. This is role suited to individuals who are focused and motivated with a background in retail sales, customer service, staff training and solution selling. Hours will increase from November to January with no extended time off during this period (expect to work public holidays).

Key responsibilities

• Stocking shelves with merchandise

• Customer service

• Set up in-store promotions and merchandising

• Processing cash and card payments

• Pool water testing for customers (training provided)

• Work as a team member in a fast-paced environment

About you

• Background in retail sales, customer service, staff training and solution selling

• Point of sale (POS) software: 1 year (Required)

• Working towards sales targets and KPIs: 1 year (Preferred)

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

• Experience in pools knowledge is advantage

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality

• Able to read and understand measurement

• Able to work weekends is ESSENTIAL

• Available for up to 30 hours from October to January
