About the role
We are actively seeking a Physiotherapist (Strength Coach) with a strength training background who desires more than just the confines of a clinic room. If you're looking for the best of both worlds—applying your physiotherapy skills in a clinical setting while stepping onto the gym floor to lead strength-focused coaching sessions and conduct hands-on rehab—then this role is tailored for you.
This presents a unique and exciting opportunity for those looking for a flexible part-time position. The role involves working 2-3 half days per week (approx 10-15 hours), with some early starts at 6:00 am as part of the strength coach responsibilities. There is also the potential to increase hours as your caseload grows, providing an excellent opportunity to build your career while making a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
At Adaptive Strength, you'll be part of a high-performance team that's more than just a rehab facility. We're leaders in bridging the gap from rehabilitation to peak performance. This role is not just a job—it's a chance to be part of something bigger, combining your expertise in physiotherapy with a passion for functional training to provide ongoing care that enhances patient health and longevity.
About the Role
Versatile Work Environment: Engage in both in-clinic sessions and hands-on work on the gym floor, contributing to a model of care that combines Physiotherapy with Functional Training to bridge the gap from rehab to performance.
Rehabilitation Process Management: Enjoy the process of programming and overseeing the rehabilitation journey, providing more than just solutions to issues or conditions but also empowering clients with the necessary education and tools for their recovery.
Supervised PT Sessions: Run supervised personal training sessions using your strength training background. Develop programs and act as a case manager, overseeing clients’ journeys from initial assessment through to achieving their health and performance goals.
Personalized Patient Education: Take a proactive role in educating patients, prescribing personalized exercise programs tailored to their unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
Supervision and Guidance: Lead one-on-one gym-based rehabilitation and group rehab sessions, ensuring clients receive focused and effective care.
State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work within our fully equipped personal training studio, featuring two distinct studios for rehab/one-on-one sessions and semi-private personal training, designed to maximize client outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate closely with coaches and remedial massage therapists to ensure cohesive return-to-play strategies and injury rehab protocols are effectively implemented.
Educational Support for Staff: Assist in the ongoing education of our coaching and massage therapy teams on best practices in care and rehabilitation.
Professional Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for referring doctors, insurers, and rehab providers, facilitating a comprehensive support network for our clients.
Diverse Clientele: Embrace the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, primarily within the private sector, tailoring your approach to meet their varied needs and health goals.
About Adaptive Strength: Located in Booragoon, Adaptive Strength is a leading Functional Training and Rehab Facility. Our unique combination of Strength & Conditioning, Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, Physiotherapy, and Remedial Massage places us at the forefront of improving client outcome in rehab, health & fitness.
