• The Short Stay Suite is a component of the Perioperative Precinct and incorporates Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA), Holding Bay, Same Day Discharge (SDD), 19 bed Surgical Ward and a state-of-the-art standalone Endoscopy Suite. 
• The Short Stay Suite is a face paced, high turnover unit which will provide you with many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing care skill sets. 
• The Short Stay Suite is seeking a motivated, dynamic and high performing ANUM who can inspire and lead our large team. 

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who:

• Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
• Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities.
• Provide a high level of clinical knowledge and skill to promote a client focused model of care according to best practice principles.
• Act as a role model and clinical resource person to provide clinical advice and recommendations, support service development processes and promote positive team culture.

You will need:

• Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in surgical and/or endoscopy nursing, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Permanent, shift worker position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
