Cafe Allrounder

About the Role:

Burnie Brae is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Café Allrounder to join our welcoming team at Café Connect on a casual basis. The position will involve working a variety of hours. 

Our Café Allrounders serve our customers with exceptional customer service and assist with the preparation of food and beverages. 

Café Connect is a vibrant café located at Burnie Brae, Chermside. The café operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm and provides the local community with a friendly meeting place to enjoy quality tea and coffee plus freshly baked sweet treats and light meals.

As a Café Allrounder, your role will include:

• Providing exceptional customer service and assistance to all customers
• Making coffee, tea, and cold beverages
• Assisting with food preparation and short-order cooking of light meals
• Quality control
• Cleaning of the café and kitchen
• Taking orders and payments
• End-of-day closing and banking

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working in a similar role
• Have great availability Monday to Friday and be available for 7.00am starts
• Barista experience essential 
• Experience with short order cooking
• Experience completing basic food preparation
• General knowledge of Australian Food Safety Standards
• Exceptional customer service skills and friendly demeanor
• Excellent presentation
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to problem solve
• Ability to work autonomously and as a supportive team player
• Hold a current National Police Check (or the ability to obtain)
