1 Registered Nurse/ Sleep Technician

Overview of Role:
We are a small Private Hospital in Frenchs Forest, Sydney that specialises in performing home and inpatient sleep studies and acclimatising patients onto CPAP therapy. We are looking for a part-time Registered Nurse to setup patients for overnight monitoring in our Clinic.

Hours and Responsibilities:
Every Wednesday setup duty. Hours: 6.30pm-11.15pm
(9.5hours per fortnight)

The position requires willingness and availability to cover holidays and sick relief on other days of operation (Tuesday - Thursday).

Setup of patients includes patient history, applying leads to head and body, checking signals, signal interpretation, CPAP titration, patient care, cleaning of equipment and patient handover to night staff.

The role is technical in nature and there is no high care nursing.

There is opportunity to learn night duty skills to help cover holiday and sick relief - shift 11.15pm-7.30am. Night duty includes handover, patient care, signal maintenance, signal interpretation, associated paperwork, cleaning and discharge.

Essential Skills:
Confident computer skills. Registered Nurse. Good interpersonal skills. Comprehensive training provided. Willingness to learn.

Experience:
You do not need to have experience in sleep medicine, paid training will be provided. To be considered for the role you need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and enjoy patient interaction. You enjoy solving problems and have excellent time management skills.

Current AHPRA nursing registration is required at the time of application.

Commence:
Paid training to commence ASAP.
