About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Full-Time Practice Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team at our Riverway Medical Centre.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the treatment room, support and develop the nursing team, and ensure patients consistently receive high-quality clinical care.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of the medical centre as it enters its next stage of growth, innovation and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and manage a team of nurses.
• Oversee the efficient day-to-day operation of the treatment room.
• Coach, train and mentor clinical staff to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
• Coordinate staffing levels and workflows to meet the needs of the practice.
• Deliver a range of clinical procedures and provide hands-on nursing support when required.
• Assist GPs with health assessments, GP management plans and reviews.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, safety and best-practice care.
• Partner with the Practice Manager to understand operational performance and support the effective management of the practice.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated leadership or people-management experience.
• Previous nursing experience in general practice, primary care or an acute clinical setting.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
• A supportive leadership style and genuine passion for developing people.
• The ability to balance clinical responsibilities with operational leadership.
