Upholsterer – Help Shape the Next Chapter of Our Manufacturing Business

We are a leading Australian commercial furniture manufacturer based in Fairfield, producing high-quality furniture for corporate offices, education, government and commercial projects.

As our business continues to grow, we're expanding our upholstery capability and are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team.

While our current work includes a broad range of commercial furniture, we're also working towards expanding our sofa and soft seating production, making this an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in both commercial upholstery and upholstered seating.

About the Role

You'll work on a diverse range of commercial furniture, including:

• Office seating
• Booth seating
• Custom upholstered furniture
• Screen / Partititioning
• Soft seating and lounges
• Commercial joinery components
• Future sofa and lounge production

No two projects are the same, giving you the opportunity to apply your craftsmanship across a wide variety of products.

Your Responsibilities

• Upholster a variety of commercial furniture to a high standard
• Read and interpret production drawings
• Measure, cut and fit upholstery materials
• Assemble upholstered furniture and seating
• Work with foam, fabrics, vinyls and leather
• Carry out quality checks to ensure premium workmanship
• Work collaboratively with our production team to meet project deadlines

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience as an Upholsterer within commercial furniture, furniture manufacturing or a similar industry
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience reading workshop drawings
• Experience upholstering sofas, lounges or soft seating will be highly regarded as we continue to expand this area of our business
• Trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
