ABOUT THE ROLE

Based at Strathalbyn Outdoor Pool, you’ll keep pool users safe and be a visible, trusted presence in the community. This is a casual role with flexible shifts designed to fit around study or other commitments. As a Lifeguard at YMCA SA, you will be:

• Supervising pool users actively to ensure safety at all times
• Identifying risks and respond to incidents or emergencies promptly
• Delivering first aid and emergency response when required
• Promoting safe aquatic practices and positive patron behaviours
• Maintaining pool operations, equipment setup, and safety compliance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

• Pool Lifeguard certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• RRHAN-EC Masterclass (or willingness to complete)
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
