An exciting opportunity exists for a Refugee Health Clinician to join our professional and committed

workforce at Swan Hill District Health. This is a part time ongoing position of 0.5EFT.

The Position

The Refugee Health Clinician (RHC) is part of the Refugee Health Program which aims to increase refugee and asylum seeker access to primary health services, improve the response of health services to refugee and asylum seekers needs and enable individuals, families and the refugee communities to improve their health and wellbeing. The role of the RHC is to work collaboratively with other health and welfare providers and the community, to provide assistance and support to newly arrived refugee and asylum seeker clients including referral to appropriate health services. The RHC will work as a member of the Community Health team, in the Division of Community Care at Swan Hill District Health.

You Bring

• Completion and experience as a Registered Nurse or Social Worker, see Refugee Health Clinician Position Description

• Current National Police Record Check

• Current Working with Children Check

• Evidence of immunisation records/history as part of the Health Services Act 1988, 2020 Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers)
