Company Accountant / Finance Manager

About the role

Reporting to the CEO and supporting the board, the Company Accountant / Finance Manager will oversee Pyrocal's finance function and provide accurate, commercially focused information to support business decisions. Working alongside our Finance Assistant, you will manage financial reporting, project accounting, job costing, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, compliance and finance systems improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow reports and board reporting.

• Monitor project profitability, budgets, costs and forecast outcomes.

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and cash flow planning.

• Oversee inventory, manufacturing costs and job costing.

• Manage BAS, IAS, payroll tax, audit, RDTI and statutory reporting requirements.

• Maintain and improve MYOB Acumatica, financial systems, controls and reporting processes.

• Provide practical financial analysis and insights to the CEO, board and management team.

About You

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, finance or a related discipline.

• CPA or CA qualification or be working towards qualification.

• At least five years' experience in a commercial accounting role.

• Experience preparing management accounts and board reports.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with MYOB Acumatica or similar systems.

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or project-based businesses.

• Experience with project accounting, job costing, inventory or manufacturing costing.

• A practical, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.

• A clear communicator, highly organised, discreet and confident working with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
