Sol Shine is a premium exterior painting and restoration business based in Hawthorn. We work across Melbourne's inner east, bayside, and inner north on high-end residential exteriors — weatherboard restoration, heritage timber repair, rot replacement, and full repaints. Quality over volume. Every job is treated as asset protection for our clients' homes.

We're a small, tight team. The work is interesting, the standards are high, and the clients value what we do.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced painter to come and build a new crew. This isn't a step-up role — you should already have the runs on the board. You'll be expected to run the crew, take ownership of the work, and bring the kind of experience that keeps a job moving without constant direction.

You'll be working on quality residential exteriors across Melbourne's premium suburbs. The pace is steady, prep matters, and the finish is what we get judged on.

What you'll be doing

• High-quality prep and finish on premium residential exteriors

• Working at a steady, methodical pace alongside a small experienced crew

• Bringing your experience to the work — no drama, no chasing juniors around

• Stepping in to lead the crew when the lead is off-site

About you

• 5+ years' painting experience minimum

• Strong exterior residential background

• Confident running a small crew

• Pride in your prep work — you know it makes or breaks the job

• ABN, reliable vehicle

• Calm under pressure, no drama, takes ownership

What we don't want

This isn't for someone who cuts corners, needs constant supervision, or treats prep as something to rush through. If you can't be relied on to show up on time and own your work, save us both the time.
