As part of the Esca Group, BESA combines creativity, quality, and genuine hospitality. With a new kitchen, an established front-of-house team, and the support of ESCA's experienced leadership team, BESA is entering an exciting new chapter and looking for a talented Head Chef.

THE ROLE

We're seeking a passionate and hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen and drive BESA's culinary vision. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established venue while enjoying the creative freedom to develop dishes, influence the menu, and build a high-performing kitchen culture.

Working closely with ESCA's Group Executive Chef, you'll lead a small and talented brigade, focusing on exceptional produce, bold Spanish flavours, and a concise, ever-evolving seasonal menu.

Whether you're an experienced Head Chef seeking a fresh challenge or an accomplished Sous Chef ready to step into your first leadership role, this position offers a fantastic platform to grow and make your mark.

ABOUT YOU

You are a passionate chef with strong leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and a genuine love for hospitality.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step

• A passion for produce-driven cooking and Spanish-inspired cuisine and experience working with premium seafood and seasonal ingredients.

• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills and a collaborative approach and desire to build a positive kitchen culture.

• Excellent organisational and kitchen management abilities

• Creativity and enthusiasm for menu development

• High standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation

• Flexible and available to work a rotating roster across all required service periods, including weekends and public holidays.
