Senior Test Analyst

Profectus is seeking multiple experienced Senior Test Analysts to support the delivery of ICT projects and programs within an agency of the Australian Government. Working as part of Agile delivery teams, you will set the test approach for a release, write and execute test cases, and report on quality and progress to project and business stakeholders. The work covers test planning and strategy, functional, integration and regression testing across release cycles, issue triage and test reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesWork within project test teams to develop test plans and test strategies, then execute and report against themEngage with business stakeholders and development teams to understand the scope of product releasesDevelop acceptance criteria based on business objectives, functional requirements and service level requirementsPrepare test scenarios and test scripts for each releaseUndertake functional, integration and regression testing across release cyclesReport and track the resolution of defects identified during testingSupport issue triage activities across delivery teamsProduce test reports for project, business and executive audiencesLiaise with vendors, business areas and internal ICT teams as requiredContribute to continuous improvement of testing practices across the delivery functionPerform other duties as directed by Directors, Team Leaders or a delegate
Required ExperienceDemonstrated experience across the full test lifecycle including preparation, execution and reportingExperience developing test plans, test strategies, test scenarios and test scriptsProficiency with test and defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similarProven experience working in Agile delivery teamsStrong conceptual, analytical and interpretive skills with a high level of attention to detailAbility to engage and collaborate with internal ICT areas, project teams, business areas and external service providersAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities as a self motivated team memberStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationshipsExperience testing enterprise or business critical applications in a governed delivery environment
Desirable ExperienceTertiary qualifications or industry recognised certification in Information Management, Computer Science or a related disciplineSQL querying abilityTest automation experienceProgramming knowledgePrior experience supporting ICT modernisation or transformation programs within Australian Government agencies
Security Clearance RequirementsMust be an Australian citizenMust hold an active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance prior to commencement
