This role focuses on the repair, maintenance, and reinstatement of passive fire protection systems to ensure buildings remain compliant with Australian Standards and NCC requirements.

We are a growing fire protection business seeking an experienced Passive Fire Repair Technician to join our team. This role focuses on the repair, maintenance, and reinstatement of passive fire protection systems to ensure buildings remain compliant with Australian Standards and NCC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and reinstatement of passive fire systems, including:

  • Fire stopping of service penetrations

  • Fire and smoke walls and barriers

  • Fire-rated seals and joints

 Rectify defects identified during passive fire inspections

• Install approved passive fire products in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian Standards

• Complete repair documentation, photos, and compliance records

• Work safely on active construction and live building sites

• Liaise with clients, site supervisors, and internal teams to coordinate repairs

About You

• Proven experience in passive fire repairs or fire protection services

• Strong understanding of NCC requirements and relevant Australian Standards (including AS 1530, AS 4072, AS 1851 – desirable)

• Experience installing fire-rated systems and products

• Trade qualification or industry certification (highly regarded)

• White Card and current driver’s licence

• Ability to work independently and to a high standard of workmanship

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
