About the Role
 
Myndshift Group is seeking an experienced Leading Hand HD Mechanic to join a well-established heavy equipment services provider based in Redcliffe, WA.
 
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting the daily coordination of workshop activities while continuing to complete servicing, diagnostics and repairs across heavy mobile equipment.
 
Working Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm, this opportunity offers strong, consistent hours while allowing you to remain Perth-based and home every night.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to HD Mechanics
• Assist with allocating work and coordinating workshop priorities
• Complete servicing, repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
• Monitor job progress and support the timely completion of work
• Provide technical assistance during complex repairs and fault-finding
• Ensure maintenance activities meet safety and quality requirements
• Review completed work and maintenance documentation
• Communicate effectively with management, team members and stakeholders
• Promote a positive and safety-focused workshop culture

About You
 
To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant trade qualification
• Demonstrated experience as a Leading Hand or senior HD Mechanic
• Strong technical, diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
• Experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment
• The ability to coordinate workloads and support a mechanical team
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Full Australian working rights

Experience within the mining, civil construction or heavy equipment industries will be highly regarded.
