Northstate Diesel Repairs is a small, family-owned business based in North Queensland, providing high-quality diesel fitting services to the mining industry. Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Crusher Fitters to join our team on a permanent basis. Subcontractors are also encouraged to apply with competitive rates available.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Crusher Fitters to join our team on a 7/7 roster. This is an excellent opportunity for trade-qualified fitters with solid coal mining experience and a strong background in crushing and screening equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on Terex Finlay J-1480 Jaw Crushers, TC80 Stackers, 893ST Screen Deck, I-140 Impact Crushers

• Carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system repairs and testing

• Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

• Work safely and efficiently within company systems, procedures, and QA standards

• Meet customer expectations through quality workmanship and professionalism

• Work independently and reliably when unsupervised

• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on crushing and screening equipment

• Performing servicing and routine inspections

• Diagnosing and completing mechanical repairs and breakdowns

• Completing maintenance documentation and reporting defects

• Working safely and following site procedures and mining standards

• Supporting the site team to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime

• Ability to supply clean D&A results when required

Skills & Experience Required

• Australian recognized Diesel Fitting Trade Certificate or similar

• Minimum 2 years post-trade experience

• Previous hands-on experience working on Terex Finlay J-1480 Jaw Crushers, TC80 Stackers, J893ST Screen Decks, I-140RS Impact Crushers

• Proven experience on heavy mobile equipment in mining or civil industries

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

• Experience with Liebherr, Hitachi & CAT excavators highly regarded

• Experience with Sandvik and CAT drill rigs a strong advantage

• High Risk tickets (EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights) preferred

• Current Australian driver's licence (essential)

• Must be an Australian resident

• Must hold Australian citizenship

• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
