About the role
Holmes Donnelly & Co Solicitors is a boutique family law firm located in the Sydney CBD.
We pride ourselves on providing exceptional legal services to our clients, with a focus on professionalism, integrity, and excellence. Our team is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
We are currently seeking an experienced legal assistant/secretary to join the team. You must be highly organised and detail orientated. It is essential you have previous experience as a legal assistant/secretary and possess the following qualities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Sound Dictaphone and typing skills
Positive attitude and proactive nature
Strong Microsoft Office skills
The capacity to work for more than one Lawyer
Exceptional time management skills
The ability to work in a team environment
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and format legal documents and correspondence (including transcription of dictations)
Manage and organise files, both electronic and physical.
Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court dates.
Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls and emails.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information as required.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
